Apitope, now headquartered in Hasselt, Belgium with a wholly owned subsidiary in Bristol, England, was founded in 2002 by world renowned immunologist, Professor David Wraith at the University of Bristol with Angel investor, Richard Daniels.
It secured initial financing from the Richard Daniels Family, and subsequently from the Wellcome Trust and the Sulis (now Wyvern) Seedcorn Fund.
